My Experience of the Local Train at the market city

Tapping feet, clapping hands and resonating voices; this was the scene when I visited the concert of the band “ The Local Train” at the Phoenix market city, Bengaluru on 14th January, 2019 at 8:50 pm. The concert was about to start at 8:30 pm but due to some technical glitches, it started at around 8:45 pm. I who was thinking that I am late by 20 minutes and have missed the major part was fortunate enough to miss just the 5 minutes of the event.

This was my very first experience of attending a live concert.
The place was nothing but the microcosm of the world outside. You meet all kinds of people.
Bachelors were there for fun.
Die-hard fans for inspiration.
Married men looking for an escape
And broken hearts looking for ways to mend.
For me, it was a mixed feeling of excitement, fun and awkwardness.
I was excited because I wanted to attend a live concert since a long time and finally got a chance to witness.
I was enjoying because the crowd had gone nuts and had made the feeling contagious.
I was a bit conscious because I was feeling out of the place even amidst the humongous crowd as I was listening to the band for the first time and wasn’t able to utter any lyrics while the people were at the peak of their voices.

But soon my muscles started moving according to the beats and the bass. I was enjoying to my fullest that I didn’t even realize that it’s been two hours. I didn’t feel the fatigue. When one of the vocalist announced that they are going to play the last song for the day, I felt sad wondering that this wonderful evening is going to end so soon. But my friends cheered me up and we took a lot of photographs of the band performing and group selfies. With the completion of the last song, the crowd began to disperse. Soon the ground became empty.

While I was walking towards the exit, a thought struck my mind that the concert is analogous to our lives; at good times, we are surrounded with people having all kinds of melodies and happiness in background  but as soon as the bad times cast its shadow, people leave and what remains is just silence.
