Do colors shower joy? Kya daag achhe hai ?

It is said that the most popular ads are the ones which have an emotional connect or which we can easily relate to. The famous tagline "Daag Acche hai" of Surf Excel offered a complete different take in the detergent category of celebrating stains and not just removing them.
What are your views on this iconic phrase? Could you relate this to some memory of yours?  Do you think "Daag Acche hai"?

Vizag, Rednam Gardens, Vikas Educational Institution, 5th floor, 2nd room from one of the ends of the corridor with 8 bunker beds accommodating 16 people. I was there lying on one of the beds,my eyes open wide, fixed at the ceiling and looking back at the old gold days of my childhood. The calendar showed 3rd March, 2008 and the clock struck 11; the night before Holi. Everybody in the room was fast asleep while I was reminiscing how I have celebrated Holi with my family till last year, how we all used to go for burning Holika, enjoyed the taste of the traditional cuisine and the games held at the locality.

It was not the festival that I was missing but the togetherness during the occasion. Suddenly, a faint familiar voice woke me up from the sleep of nostalgia. The voice was of one of my close friends who was in another room. She had brought me color packets and for all of her friends on the floor. She asked me to join her in greeting everyone. I refused. Sometimes you find happiness more meandering in the labyrinth of past than living in the present. It was blissful walking down my memory lane. I again started from where I left to not break the rhythm of my thought flow but failed to reconnect.

Looking at the color packet, an idea popped in my mind to put colors on the faces of my roomies in the shape of mustache and when they look at their faces in the morning, their reactions will be worth-watching. Making mistakes is a trait of homo sapiens. I had put colors on everybody except me. Next morning, their reactions were funnier than the jokes of the best comedians. But seeing my face clean they realized it was me but they didn't let me realize that they have come to know. I had never played colors in 14 years of my life. I wasn't interested this time either. I put on a new pair of top and trouser to get a feel of festival. In the evening, all my roommates tricked me and took me to the ground.

No sooner did I reach the ground, I was drenched with buckets of colored water. I retaliated by splashing colors on them. Even revenge is pure in nature when we are young and innocent. We had a great time playing and splattering colors on each other. Our voices reverberated more than the blaring of music from the loudspeakers. The colors had made the atmosphere intoxicating and vibrant. Perhaps being stupid sometimes results in the best moments of life.

At the end, I spoke to myself "Daag toh acche hote hai".
